Oh that should be fun! Let's decide what meds are most effective, and how to choose? Will they decide on how many Rx are given, favoring overprescribed, but possibly not very effective meds?
I doubt there will be a non partisan zero conflict of interest expert organization that is honest about efficacy for health vs. efficacy in creating profits, making these decisions.
I'm waiting to see the all Pharma execs or heavily conflict of interest Big Pharma captured "experts" group that will recommend the most expensive drugs as most effective. I think this will make a lot of really terrible meds more available and slightly cheaper. This will likely be set up to drive people off of older safer drugs and onto newer novel drugs that may not be tolerated by large proportions of patients, or are not very effective. The current system is terrible, but until we get money out of politics, it will keep getting worse and we the people will pay with our lives.
