The underreported Lambda variant that is sweeping South America, is showing signs of bypassing what immunity the vaccines provide. If Lambda or another new variant escapes the vaccine immunity, the choices of politicians, public health official's, our "healthcare" corporations and Big Pharma will be to blame because they refused explore a broader approach than promoting high adverse event associated non sterilizing vaccines. Israel has found at least 16 repurposed drugs that treat covid, but the US isn't interested. I'm sure it will be massively popular as we go back into lockdowns and have another year of this healthcare disaster because the US chose the profits of Big Pharma over the health of humanity.

As Peter Doshi, senior editor of the British Medical Journal noted recently, the efficacy data Pfizer used to justify full approval did not utilize recent months of data. There is very suggestive evidence that waning vaccine efficacy is more a product of a vaccine that is just not very good (in terms of long-term protection) than of variants. This story needs much more reporting. Pfizer has been one of the worst Big Pharma actors over many decades. They do not suddenly deserve unwarranted trust because they happened to be first out of the gate with an mRNA vaccine.
