Word: Beyond QAnon and Trump

Rick Salitin, Toronto Star - Trump reflects nothing but his own vainglory and the degradation of the Republican party that happened well before he came along. The QAnon material reflects the decayed, diminished state of a once proud public education system that often fails to teach how to think and imagine fruitfully. It’s culturally impoverished, and is losing the ability to genuinely nourish its followers.

That’s the problem with QAnon, not absurdity or contradictions: those are embedded in human experience. They call out for recognition and exploration. QAnon, like its threadbare messiah, lacks the capacity to deal with them honestly or productively.

QAnon is pretty clever. Does showcase the pathetic public education system as well as the elites complete control of the financial system. The elites need to actively implement trickle down or else people are really going to want to eat the rich. Harry and his wife with their kid in a 13 million estate - while homeless people live on the street. Harry - why not at least let some people live on your land and take care of your estate. The French revolution was ugly - but the elite have a choice. They own the gov - so it might benefit them to have some enlightened self interest.

"people are really going to want to eat the rich."

So far, they are more stimulated by the prospect of another check than actually addressing economic inequality. The event horizon seems too distant. Maybe a summer of no beer on the shelves and tumble weeds on the NASCAR circuit will change things. So far, the bread and circuses have been basically immune to the virus. Until then, don't hold your breath.
