We needed a minimum wage of $15 an hour 10 years ago. By 2025 we will need a $30 an hour minimum wage if usual economic considerations don't change radically. If wages had kept up with productivity since 1980 we woould have a $22-$23 minimum wage today.
Biden is shooting himself in the balls to propose taking 5 years to get to $15, then waffling on if to do it at all. Any politician who cares about his party winning the next general election would make $15 land before the general election in 2024. Low information voters will look at their paycheck and see they now make $15 or more, and they will vote for the party that gave them that raise. If in 2024 low info voters heard the promise of $15 and they look at their paycheck and see it isn't $15 yet, they will feel lied to, just like Georgia voters (and the rest of us) feel about Biden's sleazy lie of promising $2000 dollar checks, that then switching to $1400 checks after Ossof and Warnock win. Biden made his new Senators into liars. With stunts like that, if tRump is still alive, not in prison, and capable of appearing somewhat coherent on camera, he will likely win, because Biden will have shown that Dems lie and cannot be trusted. Shame on you Joe Biden for your crooked lies!!!
