It's like every 15-20 years there is a big cheating scandal either at West Point or Annapolis.....you don't hear of these scandals at the regular Officer's Candidate Schools run by the various branches at various military bases, possibly because the students were in the military first....though you do see the occasional soldier, airman, sailor apply to and graduate from the big service colleges. West Point is (for the uninitiated) an engineering school combined with your stock military college (uniforms, drill, forced standing guard as punishment, etc.), and you have to make a case as to why you want to attend there (you need Congressional endorsement) and they will charge you thousands if you drop out before graduation and you will be a US Army officer for a few years (at minimum) after graduation. This is heavy stuff for a post-HS teen, much less an adult, and that's why people crack and cheat. It doesn't help that they were doing military college by Zoom, the worst system for doing any sort of education.
