Sam Smith - Trump can be pardoned for national crimes but not state and local ones. One solution: Air Force One takes him to a foreign country and returns without him. Possibilities: Russia, Saudi Arabia and China (where his nice bank account is) Just wondering

Trump will be indicted, convicted and jailed and there will be no pardon coming.
The people who actually run this country are going to send a message to any future populist candidate - "you try to change this country and you will pay dearly."
And it won't help if Air Force One drops him off in another country. Any country which has an extradition treaty with countries like Iran, Venezuela, Yemen, Syria et als might very well demand justice.
The man owns his own branded 757 and considers some of the worst despots in the world his comrades and role models.
He is the living epitome of a "flight risk" and will seek asylum in whatever non-extradition coldly-hostile state will grant it to him on or before January 19th.
This is as inevitable as the dawn.
