Maybe being banned from her 'people of praise' religious group would not be all that much of a punishment. At least for most intelligent people.
However a few years ago, a Bishop in Rockford IL, wrote his desire to EXTIRPATE certain people from society. Not from some little private religious group, not merely from the bishopric of Rockford IL, but from... well, apparently our whole society!
Personally I didn't feel threatened at the time. I didn't know what the H3ll extirpate meant.
But, after struggling through the process of looking it up, I began to feel that our modern, liberal appearing catholic church might be somehow changing.
Extirpate: ERADICATE, TO DESTROY COMPLETELY, TO ANNIHILATE.
The catholic pope at the time was Benedict XVI, a real 'old-time-religion', 'flat-earth' kind of guy from Germany, previously known as Joseph Ratzinger.
Theoretically speaking, maybe it isn't a great idea to allow Any religion to get a strangle-hold on government.
