Problems we hadn't started worrying about. . .

Guardian -  A lack of tourists is driving the ravens at the Tower of London to boredom and causing them to fly away. Legend has it the monarchy and the Tower of London will fall if its six resident ravens leave the fortress. The birds, known as the guardians of the tower, are shrouded in myth and live in lodgings on the South Lawn. There are seven in total – the required six, plus one spare. The tower closed on 20 March and reopened five weeks ago. However, few tourists have returned.

The tower actually has a couple extra ravens, Huginn and Muninn that live as a breeding pair in a flight cage in a quiet part of the moat, so they remain at the tower regardless. 2 of their offspring, Poppy and Georgia, are in the general tower conspiracy. As long as Huginn and Muninn get care, there will be ravens at the tower, and the tower ravens get excellent care.

If the legend be true...

Boris Johnson and his brexit plan are working hard to destroy the United Kingdom. In Northern Ireland, the Good Friday Agreements that ended the "Troubles" in the late 90s, need to be respected, or else the "Troubles" will flare up again. Brexit requires a work around for keeping NI in the single market and customs union and freedom of movement inside the island of Ireland, to avoid breaking the GFA. Johnson's response, put a customs border with checks between NI and the rest of the UK. Yes, he is putting a customs border inside his own country. Johnson is insuring that Ireland will reunify after brexit, it might take a few years, but brexit will accelerate that process.

Between Johnson's disregarding Scotland's 2/3rd voting to remain in the EU in the brexit referendum, and disrespecting it's devolved parliament in general, Scotland is clamoring for another independence referendum, so they can decide if they want to quit UK and rejoin the EU. The reason voters in Scotland decided to remain in the UK on the last independence referendum, was it would avoid the hassle of joining the EU as an independent nation, but brexit has destroyed that. Now Scotland has even more reason to want to leave UK.

Why did the UK vote for brexit? The leave campaigns broke election laws, this has been proven in court. The leave campaigns lied in all sorts of ways, from sure we will stay in the single market, brexit will make the UK much more prosperous, or that the EU would give the UK a better trade deal if they left the EU. The Tories have been in power for the last decade, and blamed all the problems from their Tory austerity policies on the EU. The people who first decided brexit was a good idea are very rich and are looking to avoid the new 2020 EU tax avoidance laws that make using tax havens harder to hide money in, and they could make lots of money off shorting the Pound in financial markets on the way.

Even with a captive pair of ravens at the tower, it seems like the tower ravens flying off may be the harbinger of the UK's break up.
