Washington's reversal came a day after it agreed to the text, negotiators said under cover of anonymity.

A new hydroxychloroquine study -- "the largest to date" -- was published Thursday in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine. It concluded that Covid-19 patients taking the drug "do not fare better than those not receiving the drug," reports Time

I would think that this Administration would have welcomed the chance to cease hostilities and return military people home.

Military people could have been sent to reorganize meat processing plants so that workers might be able to continue working using distancing guidelines. (Maybe new buildings are even required)
States cannot continue to slaughter livestock.
Maybe the government could help build Big Freezer buildings for temporary use, until after this Pandemic has ended.

They could have been sent to Michigan to quell gun-toting militants that invaded the State House.

They could help out at Hospitals - somehow or another.

Personally, I like the idea of starting up the Civilian Conservation Corp again. And the WPA, and any other kind of organization that would get young, or even all unemployed people busy doing SOMETHING.

Of course, using physical distancing guidelines...
