VIRUS STATS SATURDAY

in all major virus countries except America, the new case averages during the past week are better than for the previous seven days.  Four of the ten major American states improved as well. Both globally and in the US the number of new cases peaked in the second week of April. They are now down 16% for the US and 15% globally.


Globally, the average number of new cases the past seven days is 4% below the previous week. For America it is the same.
  • The average number of new United Kingdom cases is down 2% compared to the previous week
  • Average number of new  cases in Italy this week is down 30% compared to the previous week
  • Average number of new  cases in Germany this week is down 19%  compared to the previous week
  • Average number of new cases in France this week is down 19% compared to the previous week. 
  • Average number of new cases in Spain this week is down 27% compared to the previous week
 Death rate of reported cases
  • The latest death rate of reported cases in all major virus countries has increased this week over past week's average.
USA at 5.8% or 5% over the previous week's average
Global 7.0%  or 1% over the previous week's average
France and UK are worst at 14.2%
Italy is third at 13.5%
Germany is 3.9%

 States
  • The highest number of cases remain New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, California, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
  • Eight  major states had an increase in new cases in past seven days compared to the previous week: New Jersey, New York, Georgia, Illinois, California, Massachusetts, Michigan, Texas and Illinois
  • The range of decline in new cases in  3 major states ranged from 35% for Florida, 30% for Louisiana to 1% for Pennsylvania
  • In all the major virus states, the death rate of reported cases has increased the past seven days by 5-24% compared to the previous week.
  • The highest death rates of reported cases are in Michigan, Louisiana, New York,  Washington and New Jersey.
