VIRUS STATS WEDNESDAY

in all major virus countries except Spain and Iran, the new case averages during the past week are better than for the previous seven days. Five of the ten major American states improved as well. Both globally and in the US the number of new cases peaked in the second week of April. They are now down 23% for the US and 19% globally.

Globally, the average number of new cases the past seven days is 6% below the previous week. For America it is down 14%.
  • The average number of new United Kingdom cases are down 10% compared to the previous week
  • Average number of new cases in Spain this week are are up 11%  compared to the previous week. In Iran it's up 17%
  • Average number of new  cases in Italy this week are down 20% compared to the previous week
  • Average number of new  cases in Germany this week are down 31%  compared to the previous week
 Death rate of reported cases
  • The latest death rate of reported cases in all major virus countries except Spain and the UK has increased this week over past week's average.
USA at 5.7% or 8% over the previous week's average
Global 7.0%  or 2% over the previous week's average
France is worst at 13.9
UK and Italy are next at 13.5%

Germany is 3.7%

 States
  • The highest number of cases remain New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, California, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
  • Eight  major states had an increase in new cases in past seven days compared to the previous week: New Jersey, California, Massachusetts, Michigan, Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania and Illinois
  • The range of decline in new cases in other major states ranged from 25% for Louisiana to 1% for Pennsylvania
  • In all the major virus states, the death rate of reported cases has increased the past seven days by 2-20 compared to the previous week.
  • The highest death rates of reported cases are in Michigan, Louisiana, New York,  and Washington.
