According to analysis by Alan McQiullan the five countries with the most deaths per million population are Spain, Italy, France, UK and Netherlands. The US has had 60% as many deaths per million as the Netherlands and 31% as many as Spain.
Globally, the average number of new cases the past seven days is 17% below the previous week. For America it is down 16%.
- The average number of new United Kingdom cases are down 22% compared to the previous week
- Average number of new cases in Spain this week are are down 15% compared to the previous week
- Average number of new cases in Italy this week are down 26% compared to the previous week
- Average number of new cases in Germany this week are down 359% compared to the previous week
- The latest death rate of reported cases in all major virus countries except Iran has increased this week over past week's average. (This may be due, in some cases, to improved reporting):
USA at 5.3% or 31% over the previous week's average
Global 6.9% or 10% over the previous week's average
United Kingdom is worst 13.6%
Italy is second at 13.2%
France is third at 12.9%
Germany is 3.2%
States
- The highest number of cases remain New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, California, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Michigan.
- Only two major states had an increase in new cases: California and Georgia (both early virus states)
- The range of decline in new cases in other major states is 50% for Washington down to 14% for New Jersey.
- In all the major virus states, the death rate of reported cases has increased the past seven days by 19-67% compared to the previous week.
- The highest death rates of reported cases are in Michigan, New York, Washington and Louisiana
