VIRUS STATS MONDAY

in all major virus countries, the new case averages during the past week are better than for the previous seven days. Six of the ten major American states improved as well.


Globally, the average number of new cases the past seven days is 12% below the previous week. For America it is down 13%.

• The average number of new United Kingdom cases are down 22% compared to the previous week
• Average number of new cases in Spain this week are are down 5%  compared to the previous week
• Average number of new  cases in Italy this week are down 29% compared to the previous week
• Average number of new  cases in Germany this week are down 42%  compared to the previous week

 Death rate of reported cases

• The latest death rate of reported cases in all major virus countries except Spain and the UK has increased this week over past week's average. But the increases are not large

USA at 5.6% or 12% over the previous week's average
Global 7.0%  or 4% over the previous week's average
France is worst at 13.6%

UK and Italy follow 13.4%
Germany is 3.6%

 States

• The highest number of cases remain New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Illinois, California, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
• Four major states had an increase in new cases in past seven days compared to the previous week: New Jersey, California, Massachusetts and Illinois
• The range of decline in new cases in other major states ranged from 28% for New York to 20% for Michigan
• In all the major virus states, the death rate of reported cases has increased the past seven days by 6-29% compared to the previous week.
• The highest death rates of reported cases are in Michigan, New York, Louisiana and Washington.
