VIRUS STATS FRIDAY

For the first time since  we've been tracking it in March, there has been a clear increase in the number of major virus countries whose new cases declined last week compared to the previous one.


Globally, the number of new cases the past seven days is 5% below the previous week. For America the drop is 7%. .
  • The number of new United Kingdom cases are down 37% compared to the previous week
  • New cases in Spain this week are are down 29% compared to the previous week
  • New cases in Italy this week are down 11% compared to the previous week
  • New cases in Iran this week are down 14% compared to the previous week.
  • New cases in Germany this week are down 48%  compared to the previous week
 Death rate
  • The latest death rate in all major virus countries has increased this week over past week's average:
USA at 4% or 28% over the previous week's average
Global 6.2%  or 10% over the previous week's average
Worst: Italy remains worst at 12.8%
United Kingdom is second at 12.3%
Spain is third at 10.3%
Germany is 2.4%
 States & cities
  • The highest number of cases are in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Michigan, Pennsylvania and California
  • In all the major virus states, the death rate has increased the past seven days by 6-55% compared to the previous week. 
  • The highest death rates are in Michigan, New York, Washington, New York, and Louisiana.
