More than 70% of Democratic voters want someone other than the front runner.
In our five poll average, Bloomberg is the only Dem with better than a statistical tie with Trump.
Bloomberg has gained 11points in our five poll average so far this year. Sanders has gained four and Biden has lost 8.
Trump's approval rating is down two points this year.
Polls show that Biden would beat Trump in 4 non-blue states, Sanders in two, and Bloomberg in one.
In our five poll average, Sanders has a five point lead over Biden who has a five point lead over Bloomberg.
One of the problems faced by the current Democratic leader, Sanders, is that only 24% of American voters describe themselves as liberal. Even within the Democratic Party the figure is only 49%.
In terms of personal style, Biden, Buttegieg and Klobuchar seem the easiest to get along with. Sanders and Warren too often come across as strict teachers and sometimes scolds, and Bloomberg is a billionaire buying his time with the public. Sanders seems to have the most excited base with the young and although it is still quite small this could change.
At present, there are four candidates within 12 points of each other, indicating that no one is making that strong an impression.
