Sam Smith - Presidential elections are not about change; they're about the top's reaction to change that is already occurring. You job is not to prove your virtue or that of your favorite candidate, but help find the one who is most likely to beat the candidate (aka the Republican) who is least likely to support positive change.
This candidate may be far from perfect, but if the one you admire most can't be elected then you are not doing yourself or the country a favor by giving him or her your vote.
Save your energy and love for lower level candidates, where your efforts will have greater effect.
