Pat Robertson attacks Trump over Syria - could lose "the mandate of heaven."

Mediaite - Televangelist Pat Robertson has joined the chorus of conservative critics lambasting President Donald Trump’s decision to pull U.S. forces out of Northern Syria — endangering America’s Kurdish allies.

Robertson said he was “absolutely appalled” by the announcement, warning that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a “thug” and a “dictator.”

“To say he’s an ally of America is nonsense. He’s in for himself,” said the 700 Club host. “The President, who allowed [Jamal] Khashoggi to be cut in pieces without any repercussions whatsoever, is now allowing the Christians and the Kurds to be massacred by the Turks.”

Robertson concluded by saying “The President of the United States is in danger of losing the mandate of Heaven if he permits this to happen.”

Trump is living up to his word and ending the wars in the Middle East. For this he is being attacked on every side, particularly by the military and the press.

Pollyanna Pete,

Let me be sure I understand you, are you saying that leaving a working peace and nuclear monitoring treaty and trying to start a war with Iran is ending wars in the middle east?

That is exactly what tRump is doing, and it has increased the threat of war everywhere. tRump just gave Turkey the green light to attack US Kurdish allies, who have fought ISIS for the US, and expand the war in Syria. Everything tRump has done in office is to bring the US deeper into wars in the middle east and elsewhere.

I am against war, but the US is already stuck in these ill conceived quagmires. The US needs to carefully extract ourselves with negotiation, peace talks, and agreements, and not green lighting attacks on allies.
