Guardian - European leaders, including Germany’s
Angela Merkel, will mark the 80th anniversary of the start of the
second world war
in Warsaw on Sunday. But Donald Trump – who cancelled on his Polish
hosts at the last-minute last week, citing concerns over a hurricane
barrelling towards Florida – was due to spend the day at his golf club
in Virginia.

Who, in their 'right' mind, would ever do anything except condemn the beginning of something like the beginning of WWII.
At the end of WWI, I believe, more people were truly concerned with the idea of PEACE after witnessing the horrors of war. While the provisions in the Treaty of Versailles were not as good as the 1940s Marshall Plan, we might actually Celebrate the 100th anniversary of that in November.
Also, in the quest for PEACE, the League of Nations was formed after WWI which may have been the pre-cursor to the United Nations, which unfortunately many of our recent politicians seem to dislike.
