North America has lost more than one in four birds in last fifty years

Follow Me Here -A team of scientists at the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology, in collaboration with the US Geological Survey and several conservation groups, have estimated North America has lost nearly 3 billion birds since 1970. That’s an estimated decline of 30 percent in the total bird population. In other words: More than one in four birds has disappeared from American skies in the last 50 years.…’

Pesticides, herbicides, neonics, and loss of habitat, it isn't any surprise that birds are in deep trouble. Every problem birds have is due to human stupidity with synthetic chemicals and/or destructive land use decisions.
