Dealing with a mentally ill president

Sam Smith - While I understand why psychiatrists and other mental health experts are reluctant to diagnose Donald Trump's mental problems not having him as an actual patient, they could still perform a useful service by instructing us on the best way to respond to mentally ill politicians.

For example, is it wise for the media to faithfully report and broadcast the ramblings of a mentally ill  politician without providing any immediate assessment of their validity. I notice, for example, that the media is far more willing to correct Joe Biden's gaffes than Donald Trump's lies.

Psychiatrists and other mental health professionals don't have to mention Donald Trump, but could help us understand the best way to handle crazy pols.
