The Trump administration will not nominate anyone from the
United States to serve on the United Nations Committee on the
Elimination of Racial Discrimination. A State Department official told Politico that
the White House intervened to stop the expected renomination of a human
rights lawyer selected by Barack Obama to the 18-member UN panel. As a
result, the U.S. will not nominate anyone to the committee.
Al Sharpton rightfully points out that the president speaks of giving support to Notre Dame but not a word about the three black churches burned down.
