Netanyahu excludes Arabs from Israel "nation state"

Guardian -  Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel “was not a state of all its citizens”  in a reference to the country’s Arab population.

The prime minister, in comments on Instagram, went on to say all citizens, including Arabs, had equal rights, but referred to a deeply controversial law passed last year declaring Israel the nation-state of the Jewish people.

“Israel is not a state of all its citizens,” Netanyahu, who is campaigning for the 9 April election, wrote in response to comments from Israeli actor Rotem Sela.

“According to the basic nationality law we passed, Israel is the nation-state of the Jewish people – and only it."

Nation states are simply another way to maintain monopolies of violence by the richest right wing criminals.

They ought to be abolished.

We are all citizens of the world and democracy should function from the bottom up and include global votes on things like climate policy and the war machine, while maintaining the rights of communities to protect themselves from the scams of the powerful.
