Trump's Interior Secretary blames forest fires on "radical environmentalists"

Eco Watch - In an interview with Breitbart News on Sunday, Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke blamed "radical environmentalists" for the wildfires that have devastated California in recent weeks, The Huffington Post reported.

"I will lay this on the foot of those environmental radicals that have prevented us from managing the forests for years. And you know what? This is on them," he said in the interview.

His current criticisms echo his remarks following other fires this August, in which he said the increasingly frequent and violent blazes were the result of inadequate forest management, and not climate change.

Yes. Wood burns - especially dead trees.

California has had an epidemic of dying trees over the last 10 years due to diseases, etc. When you do not clear that up - you have dangerous fire conditions and that makes ALL fires burn much longer and hotter.

It's the equivalent of spilling gasoline all over your kitchen and not cleaning it up.

Why does religious or political dogma have to get in the way of common sense and science?

Oh, and about that "climate change"? When was there never any?

It's the SUN and it always will be - that's why this is the coldest winter and they will be getting worse. Again, we know all about the lack of sunspots - we are going into a Maunder Minimum mini ice age.

Nothing we can do about that. If we could affect the weather to make it warmer (which we can't) - now would be a great time to do so.

A lot of people will be moving SOUTH over the next decade.
