The stat that won't help Trump

Medium

In the United States, around 2.7 million people who are old enough to vote die every year, and around 3.8 million to 4 million people turn 18. In the last presidential election — and research since then suggests that this trend will continue — younger people were more likely to vote for Democrats, and older people were more likely to vote Republican. It is more complicated than that in detail, but the basic trend is there. This means that by age alone, between the 2016 and 2018 elections, more potential non-Trump voters will join the electorate, while more potential Trump voters, or non-Democrat voters, will depart from it.

Missing in this reasoning is that each year some millions of people are getting their first job, or paying taxes for the first time, or having their first child, or getting mugged - and turning from democrat to republican.

Millions of people (yup, millions) are turning away from Demopublicans - the two-headed corporate party with their "legislative grub prepared in the same Wall Street kitchen." - and going Green or something else.

Get on YouTube and do a little listening to Jimmy Dore and if you can, Jordan Sather.

Jimmy lays out how the Democrats are actually the party of corporations, and stand (run) for nothing but getting reelected and keeping the corporate money coming in. Things that would benefit the actual American people are subordinate to profit, hence Jill Stein's focus on People Over Profit.

Jordan Sather want's to know where the 21 Trillion (with a T) missing budget dollars went,
although he things he knows...

With just the minutest part of that 21T$ we could enact all the (already paid for) higher education, health care, infrastructure etc. that would help the folks that do the working and living to pay for the other 20.99999 T$!

Just go see Jurassic Park, Fallen Kingdom, if you don't think that investing a teeny-tiny bit in the country and its people is a cost effective way of doin' b'ness... "Chomp!"

Its about time, cheers and happy Fourth! Stay safe, Tom

They've got a set of Republican waiters on one side and a set of Democratic waiters on the other side, but no matter which set of waiters brings you the dish, the legislative grub is all prepared in the same Wall Street kitchen."

— Huey Long, campaign speech for the re-election of Senator Hattie Caraway (D-AR), 1932 (Williams p. 589)

"The Democratic Party and the Republican Party were just like the old patent medicine drummer that used to come around our country. He had two bottles of medicine. He'd play a banjo and he'd sell two bottles of medicine.

One of those bottles of medicine was called High Popalorum and another one of those bottles of medicine was called Low Popahirum.

Finally somebody around there said is there any difference in these bottles of medicines? 'Oh,' he said, 'considerable. They're both good but they're different,' he said.

'That High Popalorum is made from the bark off the tree that we take from the top down. And that Low Popahirum is made from the bark that we take from the root up.'

And the only difference that I have found between the Democratic leadership and the Republican leadership was that one of 'em was skinning you from the ankle up and the other from the ear down — when I got to Congress."

Huey was a wonderful truth-teller, and that was undoubtedly one of the reasons for his still-unexplained murder.
