Trump moves to militarize police

Politico - President Donald Trump will sign an executive order rescinding former President Barack Obama's restrictions on the transfer of military-style equipment from the Department of Defense to local law enforcement agencies.

Obama’s order came in the wake of violent riots in Ferguson, Missouri, in which police controversially used armored vehicles and other heavy, military-type equipment in efforts to quell protests sparked by the death of 18-year-old Michael Brown, who was unarmed when he was shot and killed by police. Many blamed the use of such imposing equipment for inciting tensions that ultimately turned violent.

Michael Brown, according to at least nine black eye-witnesses, struggled with cop, trying to take his gun away from him, was wounded in the hand in process, then ran, despite the cops orders to stop. Apparently the cop fired again, attempting to stop the fleeing felon, striking him at least once. Brown then, again according to all those BLACK eyewitnesses, turned and charged the cop, head-down, "football style." Fearing for his life the cop fired several more times, during which Brown was struck in his forearms (he didn't have his "Hands up" surrendering, as the mob claimed) and in the top of his head, which probably killed him.

Brown was a huge young man, and was videoed pulling a strong-arm robbery at a local convenience store, during which he shoved a small clerk, who tried to stop him from stealing a box of cigars. Brown was obviously high on something as he and his accomplice were stopped by the cop while walking down the middle of the street. After telling them to get out of the street, the cop recalled the description of the earlier robbery suspects, and backed up to confront them with his gun drawn. It was at that point that Brown attacked him, attempting to take his gun away and punching him at least once in the head. This was a huge young man and the cop had reason to fear for his life. Had Brown been able to wrestle his gun away the cop would have likely died that day. This was not an innocent young man.
