The Hill - The Homeland Security Department announced that it would keep in place the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals policy, allowing undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children to remain in the country.
The decision breaks a key campaign promise by Trump to "immediately terminate" the DACA program and stands at odds with the president's vows to crackdown on illegal immigration.
The program impacts about 800,000 people in the U.S.
