In the wake of the London killings, there has been
considerable mention of IRA terrorism but hardly any of how that violence
ended, namely by finding a peaceful solution to the problem.
The same could be true in the Mid East but no major politician or major media have
proposed any non-military solutions despite the fact that the Iraq and
Afghanistan battles have been the longest failed wars in American history.
Meanwhile, during the Afghan war we have killed some 26,000
civilians while just between 2014 and 2017 American-led airstrikes have killed
some 3100 civilians in Iraq and Syria.Not a bad way to encourage terrorism in the west.
The best way to end domestic terrorism is to find a peaceful
solution to the Mid East situation.
