Sam Smith - New York's US Attorney Preet Bharara- who prosecuted scores of Wall Street execs, not to mention some banks and hedge funds - is gone but the similarly active state attorney general, Eric Schneiderman, is still on the job. The two have shared stuff in the past. What if info Trump is trying to keep secret has drifted to Schneiderman? Just a thought

The DNC noise machine is making a big deal about Bharara. Forget about the fact that all US Attorneys serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States. Forget about the fact that well are now well along into the fifth month of a contentious and rancorous administrative transition. What crosses my mind are questions about how it is that over the past eight years a New York U.S. Attorney couldn't manage to find much in the way of a white collar criminal on Wall Street to prosecute? What's that say about the competence of the guy? This party bull shit is really getting past tedious.
