Such is the result of endless war and crony capitalism. Now that we've got an advocate for peace and the working man in office the outlook for today's youts is getting better and better.
And did earning more necessarily translate into achieving better quality of life? Measuring success in terms of monetary reward is fallacious and misleading. Qualitative improvements in life have been diminishing for decades, almost in inverse ratio to those economic. Money and contentment are not synonymous
