Will this Trump page be its own separate entity from this segment of your blog, thus restoring portion to something maybe approximating journalism? Many await some respite from this near universal onslaught that attempts to foster the illusion that some sort of difference exists between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. If there is a difference to be found, it's more in the nature in style than anything else, with Trump simply being more overt in his oligarchic sycophancy.

My predecessor sounds like a first year grad student who is trying too hard. As a feller once said, a little learning is a dangerous thing. Oligarchic sycophancy, wow!

Buy a dictionary Matt. Try reading a book or two every once in a while and that stuff won't throw you.
Did you know that big people actually get to use big people words?

Oligarchic sycophancy is totally meaningless gobbleledygook. Trump is the quintessance of the oligarchy and the only thing that he sycophantizes is hisself. (No dictionnary needed.)

Trump is a stooge and nowhere near the top of the oligarchic pyramid. His paltry ten or twelve billion is chump change compared to the fortunes of those really pulling the levers of international power. Trump is serving at the pleasure of others, and the moment he does step out of line by actually attempting to address his 'populist' campaign issues he'll be dealt with. So far, as things appear, his will be the continuation of the same neoliberal (another big word for you Matt) assault upon the underclasses that has been going on in overt form since the days of Reagan. The same thing would have happened under Clinton. The class of super-wealthy, of which Trump is not a part, are in no way threatened by either flavor of the duopoly (another big people word for you Matt).

Something for Matt to consider:

"If the lesser mind could measure the greater as a foot-rule can measure a pyramid, there would be finality in universal suffrage. As it is, the political problem remains unsolved.
Democracy substitutes election by the incompetent many for appointment by the corrupt few.
Democratic republics can no more dispense with national idols than monarchies with public functionaries.
Government presents only one problem: the discovery of a trustworthy anthropometric method." ---Bernard Shaw, Maxims for Revolutionists

Apologies for the dearth of the monosyllabic.

Paul Street offered up this excellent analysis of Trump's so-called 'populism' as it stands with the agenda of the real global power brokers:

Somehow the Paul Street URL became truncated. We'll try again:

So, what's interfering with the TruthDig link?
Twice no go.
What is this place, Common Dreams?
Isn't that the kind of stuff Brownie is famous for?
