Why latinos and the young are so important in the vote

Thinking about early voting, some stats to keep in mind:

Census figures for 2014 found that while 46% of whites  and 41% of blacks voted, only 27% of latinos did.

By age,  59% of those over 65, and 50% of those 45-64 voted, only 38% of those 35-44 and 23% of those 18-34 did.
