Medical uninsured at record low

The Hill - The uninsured rate fell to a new record low of 8.6 percent in the first quarter of the year, according to government data, continuing a steep drop under ObamaCare.

The new survey data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention finds that the uninsured rate fell from 14.4 percent in 2013, before ObamaCare’s coverage provisions went into effect, to 8.6 percent in January to March of this year.

The previous record low was 9.1 percent in 2015.

The mandate may have helped enrollment but it hasn't provided useful healthcare coverage.

A 30-year old, single individual earning $30,000.00 per year pays an average of $300.00 per month for coverage under Obamacare. However, that coverage comes with a $6000.00 deductible so there is no coverage until the insured pays $6000.00 out of pocket for their health care -- a financial burden for your average, healthy 30-year old.

That's not health care -- that's insurance company care.

I do not love my affordable care act plan, but it is way better than nothing.

Another one of those it depends on your definition of what is, is.
More folks may now be covered on paper, as to the reality of being better off, that's another story. Under-insurance, oppressive deductibles and co-pays leaves all too many no better off than they were.
It's interesting that ACA was passed with a four year delay before implementation. It was necessary for had the law become effective immediately, the public would have known right away what a boondoggle and bamboozle piece of shit legislation it was and come the 2012 election demanded Barry's political head.

Simply having insurance, doesn't mean one can actually afford to use it. Having insurance and being able to afford to use it, that would be something worth noting.
