Trump: A falsehood every 169 words

Huffington Post

The Huffington Post assigned five and a half reporters to look into a roughly 12,000-word transcript of Trump’s town hall event on CNN the night before. It took us hours, but in all, we found 71 separate instances in which Trump made a claim that was inaccurate, misleading or deeply questionable. That’s basically one falsehood every 169 words (counting the words uttered by moderator Anderson Cooper), or 1.16 falsehoods every minute.

Scott Adams of Dilbert fame explains why this doesn't matter...it's about emotion and persuasion. Adams studies hypnosis. And he predicts a Trump landslide.

I'll keep laying it out for you Sam. Once elected, Madam Slick is sure to TTIP/TPP/TISA, and with that so goes more or less the last vestiges of US sovereignty for all of our legislation will be challengeable through binding arbitration. Our laws thus nullified, domestic efforts to stave off climate change will come to nil--net result, cataclysmic environmental destruction and mass extinction of life forms. However, that needn't necessarily be the means of our collective doom, for the far greater likelihood is Madam Slick's hawkish nature will get the better of her, and her neo-con/liberal interventionist cronies, and we shall soon find ourselves launched into World War III with near certain conclusion being massive nuclear exchange.
All that considered, a few of Donald's prevarications don't seem that bad. Or, as Glen Ford wood put it, Hillary Clinton has the potential to be the more effective evil. Mark my words Sam---I was right about Barry early on while you continued to sing his graces.
