France bars use of Roundup

Christian Science Monitor - Gardeners in France will no longer be able to purchase Roundup, Ecology Minister Ségolène Royal announced, citing the concerns that the widely used herbicide is carcinogenic. In a March report, the World Health Organization’s International Agency for Research on Cancer concluded that glyphosate – Roundup’s active ingredient – was “probably carcinogenic to humans.”
