The last time the labor force participation rate was as low as the present 62.8% was in 1978





The number of jobless veterans who’ve lost access to federal jobless benefits since Congress allowed Emergency Unemployment Compensation to expire the end of last year will reach an estimated 285,000 by the end of June.

The number of working age adults without a job has increased by 28 million since 2000
