Newsweek -  A rural clinic located in a district President Donald Trump won by more than 50 points in the 2024 election is being forced to shut down as the CEO cites federal cuts to Medicaid as a driving factor.

The clinic's closure comes as Republicans just shepherded a massive tax cuts and spending package through Congress that includes steep cuts to Medicaid and is expected to be signed into law by President Donald Trump on July 4

Washington Post -  Administration officials on Thursday sent emails to 144 employees in connection with a letter that criticized the Environmental Protection Agency’s current direction and policies, and 139 were placed on leave. Officials said the workers are now facing investigations because they signed the letter using their official job titles.
