Idler, Dec 1965 - It was just about a year ago that we noted that 98% of the schools in the South were still segregated. We read the other day that the figure has been reduced to 94.8% . Oh well, only another 30 years to go.
The item above suggests that the time may well be ripe for us to unveil our plan for an ultra-radical political party. This party would promise, if elected, not to pass any new legislation. It would simply carry out all the social measures already on the books and enforce existing laws for the protection of civil rights. It’s probably not constitutional but worth a try.
