Team Brady - In just 100 days, the Trump administration has:
❌ Signed an executive order to “protect Second Amendment rights” and created a “Second Amendment Task Force,” advancing the administration's “guns everywhere” agenda.
❌ Gave the Attorney General sole authority to restore gun rights to prohibited individuals, including those convicted of felonies and domestic abuse.
❌ Removed the 2024 Surgeon General advisory declaring gun violence a public health crisis and shuttered the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention.
❌ Appointed gun rights extremist and FBI Director Kash Patel to lead the ATF, and then replaced him with Army Secretary Daniel P. Driscoll — treating leadership of the sole agency tasked with overseeing the gun industry as a part time role.
❌ Rolled back the ATF’s “zero tolerance” policy, which cracked down on rogue gun dealers who egregiously violate federal law.
❌ Laid off thousands of critical public health workers at the HHS and the CDC, impacting our ability to understand the scope of gun violence in the U.S. and develop evidence-based solutions.
These actions
will have deadly consequences. Since President Trump took office, over
4,000 people have lost their lives to gun violence. And there have been
at least 78 mass shootings. Trump’s response? “These things are
terrible. But the gun doesn’t do the shooting, the people do.”
