Opinions aren't history, and though Jackson is no particular figure that I admire, I believe it unfair and disingenuous for site such as your to proffer these sorts of slander. Jackson may not have been formally educated, but it is undeniable that he wasn't without a profound intellect. His letters reveal one of significant capacity:
Sam, when are you going to give up the cheap shots? When will you once again choose to act the journalist? In the aftermath of this past election I've ended up losing respect for a number of folks for whom I once held some measure of admiration, folks I considered responsible advocates of truth, justice, and integrity.
