Washington Times - The minister known for starting the “Moral Monday” movement and the former minister of The Riverside Church in New York say they will go on a 15-state tour to encourage people to reclaim political discourse so that it focuses on love, justice and mercy. The Rev. William Barber and the Rev. James Forbes spoke about the tour called “The Revival: Time for a Moral Revolution of Values.” It begins Sunday at Riverside Church; the first revival will be held April 4 at Temple Beth Or in Raleigh. Barber says the social-political process has been poisoned by “regressive, immoral and hateful policies” and that people of faith and others must work toward equality and peace.
