Things the "objective" corporate media won't tell you

At least from the time of the first public fire station, we have had a mixed economy - not capitalist of socialist but a blend.

In 1776 Adam Smith said "In the mercantile system the interest of the consumer is almost constantly sacrificed to that of the producer; and it seems to consider production, and not consumption, as the ultimate end and object of all industry and commerce.

Among the highly useful alternatives to some our present systems are cooperatives and state banks.

The current collection of candidates for president include some of the most despicable and untrustworthy figures we have ever had running for this post.

We are in the longest era of failed wars in our history.

There are peace experts as well as military experts. The former, however, are not allowed on TV news.

Bernie Sanders' proposals are not wild socialism but completely within the Demcratic Party tradition until it turned sharply to the right during the Clinton era.

Our military expenditures are an incredible drain on our finances that could be used instead to create healthier, happier country.

Our Mid East policy has been a total disaster

Nothing in the Constitution permits incompetent spooks to destroy our constitutional rights by robbing us of our freeoms.

These are just a few examples of how cable news and other media have done our Constitution and its rights more damage than any foreign country or groups like ISIS. They have done this not by advocating evil but by deliberately ignoring alternatives to the failed institutions, systems and theories of those in power.
