- A gourmet cheese from Whole Foods is being recalled in seven states over
a potentially dangerous allergen risk, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA)
announced Friday. The grocer’s Cabricharme cheese contains egg lysozyme, an egg
white protein, that is not declared on the product label, posing a serious or
life-threatening health risk for people with an egg allergy.
The recalled cheese was sold by
the pound at the Specialty cheese department with the following information:
