New DC law suit attacking colonial status

DC Appleseed -On Monday, DC Appleseed will file a complaint with the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia alleging that the continued denial of full congressional voting rights to D.C. residents is unconstitutional. 

The new lawsuit alleges that since Congress can confer voting rights on the District, but has refused to do so even though it has done so for others who do not live in a State, that refusal violates the Equal Protection guaranteed by the Constitution.
