When you add up the states in which both Senators voted for Kavanaugh you come up with only about one third of the population of the United States. The other states either split or voted against him. Those supporting Kavanaugh included every state formerly in the Confedracy except for Florida.
So we're in favor of mob rules now are we?

We live in a representative republic - not a pure democracy.
There was supporting evidence, if not witnesses.
