TOP of the GOP
Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has signed into law a prohibition on
cities and towns imposing local ordinances preventing fracking and other
potentially environmentally harmful oil and natural gas activities.
And so what has to happen next is some future municipality adversely affected by fracking sues the State of Texas AND also brings every conceivable civil action imaginable against all of the legislators who participated in the successful passage of this hideous legislation. Malfeasance has a nice ring to it for starters, eh? From there we can hopefully work our through graft, collusion, conspiracy, sedition, and possibly treason---how about it? Perhaps an enlightened Fed just might evoke some RICO Statutes?---one can dream...
