Yes, US 4-1-8(k) states "The flag, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning."<br /><br />The VFW, the American Legion, and the Boy Scouts all recommend burning flags.<br /><br />Of course, this is all about disposal of flags in a respectful manner, lest they be buried in a landfill like garbage.<br /><br />What this means is that those who wish to punish protestors for burning flags are not concerned about the act, but about the thought behind the act.<br /><br />In other words, what Don The Con is proposing is a thought crime.<br /><br />Big Brother has arrived, and will be moving into the White House in January.A Guy In Montanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05292021783279269610noreply@blogger.com
