80 percent of voters disapprove of GOP handling of health care 

Democrats are leading Republicans by 14 points in the generic House ballot, according to a new Quinnipiac University Poll released Thursday.Among independents, 48 percent would like Democrats to win the House, while 37 percent picked Republicans. In the Senate, 53 percent said they would want Democrats to win control of the Senate if the elections were held today, whereas 39 percent said they would like Republicans to win the majority. Forty-nine percent of independents said they would want Democrats to win the upper chamber majority, while 40 percent chose the GOP.

According to Wednesday’s Quinnipiac University poll, the president’s approval rating has dropped to a new low, yet again: 33 percent approve of his job performance and 61 percent disapprove — his lowest approval rating, and highest disapproval rating, since taking office.
