Poll: Biden, Sanders, others would beat Trump

Independent, UK - Former Vice President Joe Biden would beat President Donald Trump in a hypothetical 2020 presidential race, a new poll from the Democratic firm Public Policy Polling says.

Mr Biden — who was active on the 2016 campaign trail supporting former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — would blow Mr Trump out of the water, beating him by 14 points in a hypothetical head-to-head race, the poll shows.

He’s not the only one, either. Senator Bernie Sanders, who ran a strong campaign against Ms Clinton for the Democratic nomination, would be the President by 13 points. Senators Elizabeth Warren, Al Franken, and Cory Booker would also beat Mr Trump in hypothetical matchups, according to the poll.

Salon -  Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, a surprising but possible candidate, would defeat Trump in an election 42/37.

Still not one real progressive in your list that, other than the marginally left-of-center Sanders, includes nothing but the stalwart DLC-equse/Clintonian/neoliberal usual suspects.
I never realized in the past just to what extent, Sam, you act the DNC operative. A lot of noise, not much substance these days. Joe Biden? Cory Booker? Give us a break, the Democratic Party is past redemption and needs to be fully discarded.

What's this nonsense about 2020? Sanders would have beaten Trump by 10+ points in 2016.

Neoliberal Democrats, now busy burrowing down the Red Scare rabbit hole, will have their clocks cleaned in the 2018 midterms. If Putin wanted to destabilize the US he would have turfed a handful of key banksters.

I am sad to say I completely concur with the above comments. It's a sad thing that Sam came so very far only to see so little.

The combination of the American Public and our Political System has resulted in a circus that would make Alfred E. Newman look pretty good as our leader.
Our political system is nothing but gang warfare made to look good with millions of dollars of corporate money. Add Religiosity and Fear to the mix and things begin to look very 'Orwellian'.
