The new education secretary

Trump's election is a good thing if for no other reason than it might actually shock the general public out of its on-going condition of complacency and thus compel them to finally start paying attention to the assault upon them by BOTH parties. What did Barry serve up for us, Arne Duncan?
Look how his former chief of staff, Rahm, has decimated the school in Chicago. Hillary had her own flock of privatizing vultures circling, so does it really make that much difference which flavor of the duopoly gets elected?
The most misleading aspect of all this post election coverage is the continued reinforcement of the notion that some form of substantive difference exists between the two sycophantic herds, and nothing could be farther from the truth.
So what's going to happen with DeVos as Education Secretary, will the Democrats actually stand up and fight to protect public education, or, as most likely will be the case, the major contentions will be over who's benefactor ends up getting the contracts from which charter school scheme? Ladies and Gentlemen, in this corner we have Walton Family Trust/DeVos vying against Gates...
Enough already!

I graduated from a private Christian high school....which is now defunct.

The dirty truth about the sort of Jeebus-loving private schools I went to is that none of them survive longer than twenty years, many of them change names, religious affiliations, and locations, and none of them best the state "magnet" schools in GSATs and other testing.

Betsy DeVos is a scam artist working for a scam president.
