Guardian newspaper in financial trouble

Times UK

Guardian Media Group is expected to announce a higher than expected full-year pre-tax loss of £173 million as the newspaper group struggles to restore profitability in the face of weak advertising revenues and sliding print sales, it was reported last night.

About 70 journalists are among those leaving the paper after the cost-cutting drive announced earlier this year.

The Grauniad has been sliding downhill for many months, but are outdoing themselves lately. Mediocre writing, sucking up to Clinton, and sensationalism aren't making it.
